It’s time to put away those bulky sweaters and chunky scarves and bring forward your spring skirts and dresses.  Now that spring is here, so are a lot of new and exciting fashion trends.  As the fashion magazines bloom, we can see the spring trends forming.

One of the most popular trends are bright, flirty sundresses.  Girls can style their sundresses either with ankle booties, ballet flats, or even a cute pair of sandals.  Adding some soft, pastel colored necklaces or bracelets are also a great way to vamp up the outfit.

Another bold statement trend for the spring, are printed leggings.  Printed leggings are so unique because girls can wear anything from galaxy printed to flower printed leggings, or even the basic solid colored leggings. When rocking such a wild print though, it's best to limit the rest of your ensemble to one or two solid colors.

Another great accessory for springtime is a simple or exotic hat.  Hats can range from big, floppy sun hats, to small sleek fedoras. For spring, pick a straw hat with a pop (or two) of color and match it a graphic tee and maybe even some fun sunglasses.

Whether you go for a blazer, a moto jacket, or a bomber style, spring's coats are all about bright colors and fun patterns.  They can give a pop of color to any simple outfit.  Blazers are so classy and sheik and can dress up any outfit whether it be jeans and a tee shirt or a colorful springtime dress.

As for purses this season's bag is bright and functional. The long, crossbody strap makes for easy carrying, and the medium-sized purse means there's plenty of room for your necessities, but still forces you to stay organized.  Many of them are affordable and cute and there is one to go with any outfit whether its casual jeans and a t-shirt or a flouncy and girly skirt or dress.

While walking around school and going to the mall on the weekends, who wants to be comfortable? Instead of wearing heels or shoes that kill your feet, go for a super-comfy pair of flats in a bright color with fun cutouts.

Graphic tees have quickly gone from "schlumpy" to "chic." They're a great way to show off your own personality, and can easily be dressed up for school with a high-waisted skirt and blazer. To get more of a super edgy vibe, layer them with a ton of prints.

Many of these trends are affordable and in convenient loacations.  You can find these springtime styles at Urban Outfitters, Forever 21, Nordstrom, Free People, and many other stores at Fashion Island or South Coast plaza.  Overall there are a lot of fun and affordable styles for this spring.  No matter what your style is, it’s easy to spice up your outfit to look more “spring appropriate.”
